I had a pretty damn awesome dream last night. It started with me chilling with the tenth Doctor from Doctor Who (ie: David Tennant). Well, not really chilling. We were adventuring somewhere. It was very RPG-ish. I felt like I was in Final Fantasy IV, actually, but with better graphics. And as the dream progressed, I ended up with two of the Mythbusters team there. Unfortunately, I wasn't with Adam or Jamie. I think I was with Tory and Grant, though Grant may have actually been Kari. I don't quite remember. Anyway, not long after they joined us (I can't remember any dialogue. I wish I did, because I'm sure this entire thing would've been hilarious) our RPG-esque world turned into Super Mario 64. Originally we were in Bob-omb Battlefield, but at some point it turned into one of the underground levels from the original Mario Bros. but with 64 graphics. And that turned into a theatre production rather than being an RPG. Seriously, it became a small stage with an audience watching us.
I have a feeling I was Mario. Unfortunately, I did not have a moustache, nor did I have epic overalls and a red cap.
I'm not really sure what to say about this dream. It was pretty awesome though.

"Opinions Are Like Nipples
"Everybody has one. Some have firm points, others are barely discernible through layers, and some are displayed at every opportunity regardless of whether the audience has stated "I am interested in your nipples" or not. Cats have nineteen."
You should also think before you share them, because otherwise you may offend some people.
Random blog post is random. Right now I have been avoiding doing my Extension English assignment because the teacher cannot teach and is being a total dick to my classroom English teacher (yeah, I'm totally making a really lame stand against him. Anyway). Said classroom English teacher can teach and makes a great effort in making sure we are all comfortable and equal with him. The latter is a trait that is not shared with my ExtEng teacher. Perhaps it's weird to take sides with teachers of all things, but... well... whatever. I hate my Extension teacher with a passion. I adore my classroom English teacher as he's the best teacher I've ever had. So the Extension one can go screw himself if he's going to keep being a jerk.

The title quote was taken from this very reputable site. Well, depending on your definition of 'reputable'. Lolol \(^_^)/

Aaanyway. I've thought very hard about my nipples opinions and have decided I want to share them. I mean, they're about Nintendo; how offensive can they be?
The top 5 3DS games I have been fangirling over the most are as follows.
1. Ocarina of Time 3D
2. Luigi's Mansion 2
3. Cave Story 3D
4. Professor Layton Vs Ace Attorney
5. Animal Crossing
Looking at that list... I suppose most wouldn't consider me a hardcore gamer, right? I still get confused as to the definition of 'hardcore gamer'. I'd assume it means that the gamer himself gets into the games fully, right? Because it refers to the gamer specifically. And trust me, I do get into my games. I'll spend hours playing (and totally skip out on eating and sleep if need be), I'll look up everything I can about the games when I'm done, I'll replay everything and find as many in-game secrets as possible and attempt to familiarise myself with the entire environment. Which should make me a hardcore gamer.
But for some reason, a hardcore gamer is only a gamer who plays 'hardcore' games. Funnily enough, that only seems to refer to first-person shooters o_O In which case, I am not a hardcore gamer. Tch. Fine. Guess my hours and hours of gameplay and research and fangirling and absolute adoration for my games means nothing to you people. Hmph.
Ehhh, but I digress. I'm not really sure what point I was going to make here. I suppose I'm just going to give up on this post because I've gone off on such a tangent that I've forgotten what I was doing. Whoops~

Cosplay!
I have just returned from Supanova, which is the best our country has to offer when it comes to all things fandom-y. Honestly, we're not much when it comes to the otakus and general fanboys and girls. It's not that our country is excessively judgmental or anything (I see plenty of Lolita's around the CBD getting by with no hassle) but... I don't know... I always thought Australia just didn't have that kind of culture.
Well, I'm definitely wrong about that. The turnout at Supanova is always pretty epic. I wonder why we don't have more of these events...
Ah, anyway. It was nothing like what I expected, but it was also more than I expected (I know, that makes no sense). The stalls weren't as great as I wanted them to be (I still spent a good $200, but I was hoping to spend more, you know? There goes my 3DS money) but the crowds were amazing. It seems my fellow nerds are all very kind (I received so many apologies because someone accidentally nudged me) and despite the turnout, I didn't feel claustrophobic at all. Of course, that's not what I really care about... I care about the cosplay. I certainly was not disappointed there. There were the standards, such as storm troopers and Naruto cosplayers, but there were others there as well (with extremely well crafted and elaborate outfits, let me tell you). I found someone do an amazing job of being Chibitalia from Hetalia, btw, which made me grin like a fool. God, I love that show. There was also some guy dressed up as Sailor Moon. Yes, a man in a short skirt and tiara with facial hair even. But he was really kind and posed for some epic pics with my sister. If only I had his confidence xD
Seriously though, the atmosphere was amazing. People were doing sword fights, there were CoD cosplayers with nerf guns shooting each other and people wearing 'glomp me' signs and actually getting hugged (and in some cases, tackled) by strangers and overall it was very jovial and fun. We were all acting like big children, really.
At one point I said "I have never felt more at home. These are my people," and my dad sniggered at me, but oh well. I know he secretly loved it, too. =P
Also, the cosplay show was full of my humour. The tech guy was hilarious, making "my, what a big sword you have" puns and making obscure references that only us geeks would get (I haven't heard someone (other than my close friends) make reference to seme and uke roles in a long time. Well, not including those I talk to online, of course).
It was brilliant.
Anyway, I've spent a good portion of the day wondering what I'm going to wear at next years show. I did a bit of people-watching today, so I have a better idea on what to wear... not that there's a dress code or anything. Basically, don't do things by half. I think I can deal with that.
My favourite choices are all male, sadly, though there's quite a few chicks to choose from as well. I'm thinking either Arthur/England or Gilbert/Prussia from Hetalia, Matt from Death Note, Rena or Hanyuu from Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni or maybe Angel from Angel Beats!.
My top choices are the three guys... if I have too much trouble with chest binding (that's going to be fun...) then I'll choose one of the girls. Hopefully that's not going to be a problem though.
Where the hell do you get bindings anyway? That's going to be an awkward question to ask mum... "Hey, help me get chest bindings."
Yeah, really not looking forward to that. =/

Thoughts of a Boy-Obsessed Mind
...it doesn't have the same ring as the vacant mind title, does it?
As can be seen from previous posts, I like making lists. I big like making lists. 総目録が大すきです。
Google translate says that means 'I like large general catalog'. I love you, Google translate.
So anyway, I have decided to make another list. I was reading some of my friends blogs and thought "hey, let's make a list on the type of guys I like!"
I wouldn't rule a guy out because he doesn't make the criteria (it's not like I choose who I like now, is it?) but this is just, you know, general stuff I tend to notice.
I should totally test guys before I date them. I'll make a questionnaire for them with important stuff like do you have a good sense of humour? Are you likely to do something idiotic? What are your opinions on drugs and alcohol? Do you know what lolcats are?
I'd totally make them write an essay on why they'd be a good boyfriend, and then I'd assemble some judges who will rate the essay and, using some complex system, will decide whether this boy is worth my time or not. ツ
Ahem. Anyway. Here are my dot points.
Appearance:
- I don't like muscles. At all. They creep me out.
- Height isn't a big thing, though I do like guys who are taller than me
- I love me some red hair. Black hair is also stunning and attractive.
- I do like skinniness. Not anorexic skinny, just thin-enough-that-it-looks-like-they-could-snap. Yes, there is a difference.
- Strangely enough, I'm still into slight chubbiness as well. I guess size isn't that important (double entendre not completely intended).
- Piercings... eh... no thanks. Same for tattoos.
- I like my scene boys, but most of them turn out to be jerks so...
- I don't like body hair =/
- I don't like broad shoulders.
- I've always loved pale skin. I have three friends that are really pale, and I am so jealous.
- I love eyes. Big, round eyes. Especially in blue or green. (Random fact: my favourite sims all have red hair and mostly green eyes.)
- Just to completely go against those last two dot points, I do lust over quite a few Japanese men. This is probably just a side effect of my current obsession with Japanese culture.
- Especially Japanese men in Visual Kei clothing.
This is ナイトメア[Naitomea], also known as Nightmare. The short guy in the middle? That, my friends, is Yomi. I would tap that so hard.
Personality
- Just to be generic, I like a boy with a sense of humour.
- I also like brains. No, I'm not a zombie (though sometimes I do appear to have a vacant mind. Title drop!). I like someone with a good head on their shoulders. No, no, I don't have some sort of head fetish. I like... um... intelligence. There we go.
- Alright, screw this, I need a paragraph here.
I do like my nerd boys. This is independent from the intelligence line, by the way. I like my fandom nerds. And video game nerds. If you have a conversation with me, chances are I'll at some point bring up TVTropes, anime, fanfiction.net, Nintendo, or possibly some sort of band. You're going to be a bit of a nerd if you can talk to me about the first four.
If I ever find a boyfriend who'll cosplay with me... my life will be complete.
Back to dot points.
- My humour is kind of... sexual. Guys, you need to know when I'm joking around, k?
- This will seem really bad, but I don't like being treated like a chick. If you playfully shove me I'll assume you see me as being on your level, rather than below you. Thus, I'll be more likely to befriend you.
- I like arguments. Be opinionated, but not forceful. Don't tell me I'm wrong, give me reasoning as to why you're correct and I'm not.
- Don't be offended easily.
- Seriously, back to the nerd thing. If I tell you that the Zelda games are linked by a split-universe theory that stems from when Zelda sent Link back to the past during Ocarina of Time. There are two continuities; the child link one, and the adult link one. For the child timeline to work, you have to assume that Link alerted the King of Hyrule to Ganondorf's intentions before leaving for Termina, allowing them to banish him to the Sacred Realm, thus creating the Twilight Realm etc etc, you'd better be able to keep up with me and either agree with me, or give me some damn good arguments as to why I'm wrong. And maybe come up with some extra theories with me. If I find a man who will theorise VG plots and timelines with me, I will love him forever.
Honestly, though, a lot of that can be discarded. If I find a guy who is funny, not easily offended and isn't going to look down on me in any way, I'll be happy. But, then again, the heart works in mysterious ways. I could fall for someone who is overly-muscular, dislikes videogames, is rather serious and doesn't like arguments. Who knows?
That'd be kind of unfortunate, though... Here, have an image for no apparent reason.

My Impossible Love Affair (With VG OST's)
I love my video game OST's, or, for those not in the know, original soundtracks. There's something oddly comforting about listening to music from games I absolutely adore, not to mention how nice background tracks actually sound. They're more atmospheric, of course. That's what I love about them. Movie OST's are much the same, but I listen to more VG OST's as I'm more intimately acquainted with video games than I am with movies.
I've managed to find many old and new soundtracks, ranging from the entirety of the Super Smash Bros. Brawl soundtrack (approx. 200 tracks or so) to the older, simpler Yoshi's Story for N64 (there's less than 15 tracks on that one, I believe. I'm too lazy to go count). I've never played the Earthbound games, but I still got my hands on the Mother 3 soundtrack. Anime OST's are also something I like to collect. I'm working on downloading the Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni soundtrack (both the soundtracks from the anime and the visual novel.)
But I simply cannot find the OST of Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City (City Folk for most of you). I can get some of the main tracks, but not the K.K. Slider tracks or the hourly tunes. I can get most of K.K. Slider's live shows, just not the tracks that play in your house (not that I'm as fond of those, but I'd like them regardless). And I can get the hourly tunes condensed into one track, but not separate tracks. Don't bother looking for the tracks that play when it's raining or during winter; they're even more difficult to find. I can get a handful of them off of Youtube, but that's about all.
It doesn't help that one of the users on Youtube had uploaded quite a few of them, but they were taken down due to copyright issues. I understand the whole copyright thing, but I can't get the soundtrack anywhere else. Not even the official soundtrack seems to feature all the songs, so I'm not even able to get them legally. It's not the first time this has happened, but it's one of the most infuriating. I love AC:CF, especially the music. And I would like a copy to listen to while walking/working/suffering from insomnia. That would indeed be a dream come true.

Yo. Again.
Two posts in one day. I am bored.
Here are the things I wish I knew as a child and why.
- There's an entire fandom for Palletshipping. (I thought I was the only one...)
- Fandom in general, I suppose. Same reason as above.
- I wish I had learned guitar. I would've been so good by now xD
- I wish I'd had a bigger interest in music, full stop.
- I wish I knew of AFI and... why on earth do I wish that?
- I also wish I knew of Radiohead earlier. Radiohead changed the way I hear music entirely.
- There's other Nintendo fan boys and girls. Not just xBox fans (and, specifically as a child, the PS2 fans)
- There are people who enjoy games for the plot lines and strategy as well. Not just the FPS fans.
- Pokemon isn't just a childrens game.
- Being a teenager isn't as exciting as predicted.
- Actually, now that I think about it, I wish I hadn't discovered fandom. It's kind of maybe taken over my life.
- My primary school friends weren't going to be with me for my entire life. Clearly.
- No, not every teenager has a boyfriend.
- No, not every teenager goes to parties every weekend.
Things that have changed since I was a child.
- I no longer want to go to my formal next year (I want to stay home and play Pokemon. Or something.)
- I look like I have baby fat now. I never did before. Is it possible to gain baby fat?
- Ok, maybe it's just fat. Maybe I need to stop eating so much.
- The only friends you need are the ones who are willing to give you space when you need it, and will still stick by you afterwards.
- Frequent parties get boring. Fast.
- My bedroom is now my best friend.
- Something that hasn't changed: Legend of Zelda = <3
- Neopets isn't actually that fun. At least, in my opinion.
Alright, time to go catch me a Mareep with a modest nature. That reminds me, I wish I knew of EV's as a child. It would've made Pokemon training much easier.
