The Day The Music Died♫

That awkward moment when there's nothing awkward to comment on.

It's the holidays again. Third term is over. All that's left is the (supposedly) most laid-back term of our lives. I should be celebrating, I guess, but instead I salvaged my old Sims downloads from the backup of my old harddrive and sung loudly (and terribly) to old music.

I'm being somewhat social these holidays, actually. The formal is this Sunday and I have a sleep over that night. Lainey and I are organising stuff for Wednesday already. Feels good, man. It's nice to get out of the house with mah bros. Usually I don't. Mum's in a good mood, though, so I'm willing to test the boundaries and actually do something with my friends.

Speaking of the formal, I have body tape so I can make sure the dress actually fits around my rib cage properly. It's kind of bulging, rofl. I must have the strangest body shape, because there are other sections of the dress that I almost don't fit into at all.

I've found yet another guide for chest-bindings. Ah, the pain of having boobs and wanting to cosplay as a guy. See, it's okay the other way around, because it's much easier to fake having boobs when you don't. It's a lot more difficult to fake being flat chested when you're quite clearly not. Bah. According to my research, there's a good chance that I'll end up weakening the tissue in my chest due to how much goddamn fat I'm trying to flatten out. Sounds healthy.

...oh well. The things I'll (eventually) do for cosplay. If only there was a female character I actually wanted to cosplay as. All my favourite characters are male. Hm.

I've been on Pottermore recently. My wand is 9 1/2 inches long, and made of cedar with unicorn hair as the core. I was sorted into Slytherin. The unicorn hair means that my wand is less likely to swing to the dark arts, but apart from that, I'm pretty happy with what I've got. My wand is the shortest of my group... but, it's totally not about size, guys. =P
I'm nearing a hundred house points now. Which isn't... bad, but there are plenty of people with 5000 points. How? With dueling down, we can only get points by brewing potions... which takes a good 90 minutes, and you can get a maximum of 11 points per potion. 5000 points from that??? That's... yeah, I'm not going to aspire towards that. I'll just chill here with under 100 points like the cool bro I am.

Slytherin is winning, despite having the least amount of members. This pleases me greatly. 'bout time we knocked Ravenclaw down a peg or two. Heh. No, I'm just kidding, Ravenclaw bros. You guys are cool too, probably.

I was playing The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D for a few days last week. It's very, very cool, though it's not much different from the original. Just, you know, with vastly better graphics, more item slots and an extra dimension added to the gameplay. That's exactly what I wanted from the remake, though, so that's fine. The 3D really is quite amazing. After awhile I started to get used to it, and figured that I wouldn't notice if I turned the 3D down.
...I did notice. Everything looked so much more flat (durr, GoJo. Well done) and less... I don't know, real, I guess? Not that it looks real in 3D... but I just felt much more immersed in the game world with it in 3D. It was actually quite weird to play the Wii afterwards.

What else has happened recently... No. 6 finished. The last episode was... kind of disappointing. A lot of people will disagree with me there, but... it felt kind of rushed. Not surprising, with how short the anime was, but I still felt it could've been better. I also hate how Nezumi just leaves. For no truly great reason. Was this just some excuse for there to be a bittersweet ending? Instead of saying "and they lived happily ever after", they pretended that Nezumi had some great... something to attend to, and that they couldn't live peacefully together, and ugh it made no sense to me. It just felt contrived and ridiculous.

...not that the book was much better. It ended the same way, but a little less quick and more emotional.

...I was expecting an ending that would leave me in a completely and utter mess. Instead, I just kinda felt tired and annoyed that I'd woken up at 5:30 to watch something that didn't really affect me in any way whatsoever. It was pretty sucky for me, to be honest.

Anyway this entire post has been pointless. It's just been awhile and I thought that I should make up for my lack of interesting topics to blog about. Heh.

Fandom Quiz Time

Because you can never have too many quizzes (if quizzes are quizzical, what are tests? Hehehe). I shall answer questions on Angel Beats!, Death Note, Inuyasha, Pokemon Adventures/Special, Harry Potter, Zelda and Hetalia. ^^

Fandom: Angel Beats!
Favorite Character: Angel/Kanade.
Least Favorite Character: Ah, Noda, probably.
Most Attractive Character: Iwasawa ♥
Character I Wanna Marry: Hinata~
Character I Wanna Be Best Friends With: Hm. Otonashi. Which is a boring answer, really.
Favorite Pairing: Otonashi/Kanade
Favorite Episode/issue/etc: When Kanade is in hospital and Otonashi regains his memories while lying on her chest♥
Unpopular Opinion: I truly do believe that they didn't meet up again. The scene where it shows Otonashi meeting up with Angel was, in my opinion, something he imagined so he himself could be reincarnated. Sorta like how Hinata helped Yui imagine having a happy life so she could be reborn or whatever.

Fandom: Death Note
Favorite Character: L. Just to be generic.
Least Favorite Character: Near
Most Attractive Character: Matt Matt Matt Matt Matt. ♥
Character I Wanna Marry: Rofl. None of them? I love Matt but that's mostly fanon. L, I guess..?
Character I Wanna Be Best Friends With: Mello. He'd get into some crazy stuff. Never a dull moment.
Favorite Pairing: I like pairing L/Light as a hate pairing, but I think Mello/Matt is the only one I actually ship.
Favorite Episode/issue/etc: The one episode with Matt. =/
Unpopular Opinion: I see many redeeming features in Light. Sometimes I think I am the only one who does so.

Fandom: Inuyasha
Favorite Character: Inuyasha. How dull.
Least Favorite Character: Kikyo. Definitely.
Most Attractive Character: Sesshomaru.
Character I Wanna Marry: Hm... I guess I'd go with Inuyasha.
Character I Wanna Be Best Friends With: ...Inuyasha again. Heh. Or Miroku.
Favorite Pairing: InuKag.
Favorite Episode/issue/etc: Dunno. The one where Kagome is chillin' with the wolves and is wearing the Robe of the Fire Rat, so when Inuyasha is caught in an explosion he's not protected and Kagome is so sure that he's been killed.
Unpopular Opinion: I don't think I have an unpopular opinion on this.

Fandom: Pokemon Special.
Favorite Character: Silver
Least Favorite Character: Emerald. I hate him so much.
Most Attractive Character: Green (male) ♥
Character I Wanna Marry: Hm. Sapphire. I'd totally turn lesbian for her.
Character I Wanna Be Best Friends With: Red. He'd be very easy to befriend, as would Gold.
Favorite Pairing: Franticshipping (Ruby/Sapphire)
Favorite Episode/issue/etc: Like, the entirety of the Ruby/Sapphire arc. I am such a shipper. I also loved the FireRed/LeafGreen arc.
Unpopular Opinion: I don't like Yellow. Everyone seems to, but I really, really don't. I've never liked pairing her with Red, either...

Fandom: Harry Potter Series
Favorite Character: I have way too many. Draco, Sirius, Snape and the twins are all awesome.
Least Favorite Character: Ginny.
Most Attractive Character: Hermione, in the movie. In the books I always envisioned the twins as being adorable.
Character I Wanna Marry: Eh... One of the twins. I don't know which, to be honest... I think I've always felt more affectionate towards George...
Character I Wanna Be Best Friends With: Luna! Definitely.
Favorite Pairing: I don't know... either James/Sirius or Harry/Luna.
Favorite Episode/issue/etc: My favourite book was The Half-Blood Prince, but my favourite movie was Prisoner of Azkaban.
Unpopular Opinion: I've never really had an issue with any of the changes the movies made. I can understand why most of the changes were made, so...

Fandom: Zelda series
Favorite Character: Midna.
Least Favorite Character: Princess Ruto. =_=
Most Attractive Character: Princess Zelda. Duh.
Character I Wanna Marry: I have absolutely no idea... Prince Komali, maybe. Who doesn't want a husband who can fly?
Character I Wanna Be Best Friends With: Tetra. How epic would it be to travel with a pirate?
Favorite Pairing: Link/Dark Link. Yeah, so, Dark Link is barely in the games. I still find the whole concept of the great hero finding love with his shadow really intriguing.
Favorite Episode/issue/etc: Windwaker or Ocarina of Time would be my favourite games. Probably OoT. Manga wise, I liked the Four Swords manga.
Unpopular Opinion: I like cell-shaded Link. I also loved Twilight Princess. Yeah, they're easier than the other games, but the plots and characters are still very deep and fun to get into.

Fandom: Hetalia
Favorite Character: Romano~
Least Favorite Character: Uh... I don't even know... France..? I hardly hate him though.
Most Attractive Character: Spain. DAT ASS~ etc.
Character I Wanna Marry: Spain would be the best husband, hands down. He's so kind and happy and ♥. That said... I kinda love Romano. A lot. I think he can be suave when he wants to (oh, who am I kidding, he represents South Italy, of course he can be suave), but he has a temper and I think I'd need that extra challenge in a relationship to keep from getting bored.
Character I Wanna Be Best Friends With: Prussia. Think of all the crazy shit we'd get up to~
Favorite Pairing: Spamano. Not just because Spain and Romano are uber attractive. Of course not.
Favorite Episode/issue/etc: Guh... uh... I've always loved the strips from when England was raising young!America. I also adore Boss Spain and Chibi!Romano, but that's just for my love of Romano... The Valentines Day strips are cute and very amusing as well.
Unpopular Opinion: I don't think this opinion is unpopular, but it's oddly uncommon anyway. I hate seeing England as being all weak and dependent on some stronger country. He was the fucking British Empire. What the hell guys.
Also, I love Mafia!Romano. There's an odd lack of fan stuffs for the mafia side of Italy, actually. This depresses me greatly.

Procrastinating Again

I have an English assignment to do. I need to speak for 7 minutes next week. I have only 500 words. I don't think I'll reach the time limit with that

...Well, I could just pause a lot...

I could keep writing, but instead of doing that I've been playing Grand Theft Auto, looking up Portal, studying Japanese, analysing lyrics, helping other people with their English and basically doing anything that isn't my English.

Well, at least I'm using my mind in some way, rather than just watching TV or something. Analysing lyrics is actually quite fun. I've gone through a lot of different styles of music today. Here's a portion of what I've listened to.

So, what befalls the flawless?

The Leaving Song Part II by AFI. This was the first AFI song I listened to, actually. It's good when I'm in an angry and/or depressed mood but don't want to listen to sad music. Definitely listen to it the entire way through guys.

And let this music into your heart, sweet love

Tuesday by Raphael Gualazzi. No, this is not a response to Rebecca Black's Friday. I've been listening to this guy after hearing the track Madness of Love in Eurovision. He's pretty epic. And he sings some songs in Italian. I love Italian ♥

And I know you won't deceive me like the rest, and there's nothing you need to explain

Blue Veins by The Raconteurs. I wish I could find lyric videos for both this song and the last one I posted =_= but anyway. I don't have much to say about this song. Just... listen to it. Please.

I've managed to relate all of these to my own life. I need to stop doing that. Pretty sure none of these songs were written about me.

Here, have a Harry Potter gif.
